What this is

Charity Challenge (charitychallenge.eu) is a small fitness challenge run by an individual organizer, not a company. This page explains what information is collected from participants and donors, and how it's used.

Information we collect

• Account details: display name, email address, and team, for participants who sign up.
• Activity data: the activities you log (type, duration/distance) and any photos or videos you choose to upload to the feed.
• Donation records: the amount, target (team, participant, or charity), and donor name if you choose to share it. We never see or store your card details — those are handled entirely by Stripe.
• Basic technical data (like IP address and browser type) collected automatically by our hosting and security infrastructure to keep the service running.

How it's used

Your information is used to run the challenge: showing rankings and the activity feed, crediting donations to the right team or participant, and routing donated funds to the selected charity. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Payments

All donations are processed by Stripe. Funds are held and transferred to charities through Stripe's platform. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us at tim@desomere.net. If you delete your account, your logged activities and donation records may be kept in aggregate (e.g. team totals) but will no longer be linked to your name.
